When did you first start taking pictures?

I think when i was 12 years old or so, at a baptism of one of my cousins. I never left the camera ever since.

Why do you like photography?

I like capturing different things and showing them to people through my eyes.

What kind of photography do you like and why?

I like taking portraits and also macro photography. Portraits because i want to capture certain feelings of people, their expresion in certain moments. And macro photography beacuse this is the way i can show things that usually pass unobserved.

Do you think of photography as an art? Why?

Of course! It is much alike painting. You create a certain image with your mind. Instead of using brushes, you use your mind and camera lens to create that image.

What type of camera do you use?

Digital Canon 350D and a film Zenit. 18/55 Canon lens, Tamron 28/200, Helios 50mm, Pentacon 200mm.

Do you prefer digital photography or film?

I practice them both. Pictures are more attractive on film, they have a special texture, grain. A good picture taken on film is a real picture. Digital photography is more simple and less expensive. Digital photography is more accessible because you can see your picture right after you have taken it and can take another one of the same subject if you find that the one you have taken is not the best one.

Do you have a favourite photographer? Someone you like very much?

Henri Cartier Bresson. He had honest and extraordinary photographies. He caught moments that others observe much harder.
